Conservation & Restoration
The River Waveney has been modified by man over the centuries, with much of the channel having been both straightened and deepened over the years. The wider catchment has also been much altered as land has been drained and land use changed, leading to losses for wildlife. Our work in conservation and river restoration aims to develop projects which will bring diversity and cleaner waters to our river, create new habitats for wildlife and enhance natural flood management.
